Getting started as a therapist
Register or join your practice, wait for approval, and see what the therapist area offers.
As a therapist, PEN Play lets you organise your clients into playgroups and monitor their progress and wellbeing over time. First, your account needs to be connected to your practice (clinic) and approved.
Register or join your practice
During setup (or from your therapist settings):
- Search for your practice by name.
- Request to join it, or register a new practice if it isn't listed yet.
Waiting for approval
Your membership begins as pending and needs to be approved before you get full access.
- While pending, you'll see an "access pending" message in the therapist area.
- Your settings page stays available throughout, so you can check your status and manage your request.
Approval protects client data. If your access stays pending, ask your practice's PEN Play administrator to approve you, or contact Support.
Once you're approved
With an approved membership you can:
- Create and manage playgroups.
- See all your clients and their progress.
- Track the playgroup mood on your dashboard.
- Invite colleagues and manage your practice from settings.
The therapist tools mirror the teacher tools closely - playgroups work like classrooms. If a teacher guide covers something you need, it applies to you too.
