Choosing your account type
Pick whether you're a parent, teacher or therapist - and add another role later if you need to.
After you verify your email, PEN Play walks you through a short account setup wizard. The first thing it asks is what kind of account you need.
Pick your role
Choose the option that describes how you'll use PEN Play:
- Parent - you're setting up your own child or children at home.
- Teacher - you work at a school and want to track your learners.
- Therapist - you run a practice and want to monitor your clients.
What you do next depends on your choice:

When you finish the wizard you'll see a success screen and land on your portal home.
Adding another role later
Your roles are additive - one account can be a parent and a teacher, for example. You don't need a second account.
- Open your Profile from the top-right menu.
- If you haven't claimed all your roles yet, you'll see an Add another role button.
- Tap it to run the setup wizard again for the new role.
Note
Each role has its own area of the portal. Once you hold more than one, your portal home shows a card for each so you can switch between them.
