Subscription & billing

PEN Play uses a simple per-seat subscription: one seat per child. You start with a free trial and manage everything from your billing page. For the full picture of how billing accounts, licences and seats fit together, see How licensing & seats work.

Pricing and the free trial

• Each seat costs R99 per child.
• New subscriptions begin with a 30-day free trial, so you can try PEN Play before paying.

Starting your subscription

During first-time setup (or when you add your first child):

1. Fill in your billing account details and address.
2. Tap Start 30 Day Free Trial.
3. A secure Paystack payment popup appears to save your card for when the trial ends.

Managing your plan

Go to Billing at any time to:

• See your current plan, seats and status at a glance.
• Add or remove seats as your family changes. Adding a seat lets you add another child; removing a seat is scheduled for the end of your billing period.
• Assign seats to specific children.
• View and pay invoices, and see your billing history.
• Cancel at the end of the period, or reactivate if you change your mind.

Seats and game access

Your child can only play while they hold an active seat on an active or trialing subscription. If a seat is removed, or the subscription lapses, their game access pauses until it's restored.

Schools and practices

If your child is added by a school or therapy practice, that institution may cover their seat instead. You'll still approve the connection - see Approving requests.
