Getting started as a teacher
Join your school, wait for approval, and understand what you can do once you're in.
As a teacher, PEN Play lets you organise your learners into classrooms and follow how the class is doing. Before you can do that, your account needs to be connected to your school and approved.
Join your school
During setup (or from your teacher settings):
- Search for your school by name.
- Request to join it.
- If your school isn't listed yet, you can register it so it can be set up.
Waiting for approval
Joining a school isn't instant - your membership starts as pending and needs to be approved before you get full access.
- While pending, you'll see an "access pending" message in the teacher area.
- Your settings page always stays available, so you can check your status and manage your join request even before approval.
Note
Approval keeps school data secure. If your access has been pending for a while, ask your school's PEN Play administrator to approve you, or contact Support.
Once you're approved
With an approved membership you can:
- Build and manage classrooms.
- See all your students and their progress.
- Track the class mood on your dashboard.
- Invite colleagues and manage your school connection.
