Getting Started

Signing in & account security

Log in, mix Google and email sign-in on one account, reset a forgotten password, and verify your device once instead of every sign-in.

Signing in

  1. Go to the portal and tap Sign in.
  2. Enter your email and password, or tap Continue with Google.
  3. If prompted, verify your email (see below).

Verifying your device - once, not every time

To keep your account safe, PEN Play verifies your email by sending you a message with a link and a 5-digit code. Either one proves it's really you, so even if someone learns your password they can't get in without access to your inbox.

The important part: you only do this once per device. After you verify on a phone, tablet or computer, PEN Play remembers that device for about 90 days, and you can sign in normally during that time without verifying again.

You'll be asked to verify again when:

  • You sign in on a new device or browser for the first time.
  • The 90 days since you last verified have passed.
  • You've cleared your cookies or you're using private/incognito browsing.

To verify, either click the link in the email or enter the 5-digit code on the verification screen - see Creating your account for the full steps. If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder or tap Resend code; more help is in Troubleshooting.

Mixing Google and email sign-in

You can use both Google and email/password on the same account. If you originally signed up one way and then try the other, PEN Play notices and helps you link them:

  • Signed up with Google, now trying a password? You'll be asked to sign in with Google to link an email/password to your account.
  • Signed up with a password, now trying Google? You'll be asked to sign in with email to link Google.

Once linked, either method signs you into the same account.

Tip

Linking is a one-time step. After that, use whichever sign-in method is most convenient.

Forgot your password?

  1. On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password.
  2. Enter your email address and submit.
  3. Open the reset email from PEN Play and follow the link to choose a new password.
Note

If you only ever sign in with Google, you don't have a PEN Play password to reset - just use Continue with Google.

Signing out

Open the menu at the top-right and choose Sign out. You'll see a confirmation screen with quick links to sign back in whenever you're ready.
