For Therapists
Running playgroups
Create playgroups, enrol clients, assign seats and manage the roster - the therapist's version of classrooms.
Playgroups are how you group your clients in PEN Play. They work just like a teacher's classrooms, tailored to a therapy practice.
Create a playgroup
- Go to Playgroups.
- If you belong to more than one practice, select the right one.
- Create a playgroup and give it a name (and grade where relevant).
- Save. It appears in your list.
Open a playgroup
Tap a playgroup to see its detail page, where you can:
- View the client roster.
- See the playgroup mood and active games.
- Assign seats to clients.
- Run bulk actions across several clients at once.
- Add clients to the group.
Adding clients
- Add clients directly from the playgroup page.
- Enrol by QR - scan a client's code to identify and add them quickly.
When you add a child, their parent is asked to approve the connection before the child joins - see Approving requests for the parent's side.
Seats
A client needs a seat to play. Depending on how your practice is set up, seats may be provided by the practice. Assign seats from the playgroup page so clients can start playing.
Bulk actions make setting up a new playgroup quick - select many clients at once rather than adding them individually.
Next
With your playgroup set up, see Your clients & their progress to start monitoring how they're doing.
